ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team got off to a fast start with a goal nine seconds into the game and went on to a 2-0 win in the season opener over Carthage, Friday night at Shelton Stadium. Link Scoggins took a ball from Trevor Elza and went up the middle for a goal. Ryan Flanigan iced the game at 84:56 on an assist from Scoggins. Scoggins, a senior transfer from the University of Dallas, was making his Cowboy debut. Ryan Shaughnessy was good in goal with seven saves and a shutout. HSU will play the College of the Southwest on Saturday at 3 p.m. on Saturday against the College of the Southwest. |
