ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team dropped its first game of the season 2-0 to UT-Permian Basin, Saturday afternoon at the HSU Soccer Complex. UTPB `s Carlos Guillen scored in the 19th minute on a penalty kick and scored again in the 69th minute when he took a pass from Michael Benavides and scored on a breakaway. Justin Shepherd was solid in goal for the Cowboys, with 10 saves. HSU is 0-1 on the year, while UT-Permian Basin improved to 1-0. |
