SEWANEE, Tenn. - Hardin-Simmons rebounded from its season-opening loss with a 2-1 win over Edgewood, Saturday in Sewanee, Tenn.

The Cowboys received an own goal in the 65th minute to take a 1-0 lead and Adrian Romero scored on a pass f rom James Burton in the 80th minute to secure the win.

Charles Johnson had four saves in a complete-game in goal.

Trevor Elza, Matt Leach and Romero were named to the all-tournament team as the Cowboys improved to 1-1 on the year.

HSU return to action Friday when it hosts the University of Dallas.
