ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons men's soccer team lost its season opener, 2-1, to University of the South Friday afternoon in Sewanee, Tenn.

Sophomore transfer forward, Chris Carroll, scored the only goal for the Cowboys. Charles Johnson, senior goalkeeper, had six saves out of eight shots on goal. Tim White saw 45 minutes of scoreless action in goal.

The Cowboys return to action against Edgewood University, Saturday at noon in Sewanee, Tenn.
