Aug. 29, 2003 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 2-1 game to Ozarks in the season-opener for both schools. The Cowboys jumped on the board early when freshman David Salas scored in the 16th minute off an assist from Chris Carroll. However, Ozarks junior Will Brahic scored two goals in the second half to bring the Eagles from behind. Ryan Shaughnessy (0-1) took the loss in goal for the Cowboys, who fell to 0-1 on the season. HSU returns to action Friday at fifth-ranked Wheaton College. |
