SALADO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team shot a 297 and finished in sixth place at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Tournament, Tuesday afternoon at the Mill Creek Golf Course in Salado.

The Cowboys had all four countable scores in the 70's to shoot a 297. That followed a 306 to give the Cowboys a two-day total of 603.

Chris Phillips led the Cowboys with a 77-71-148 good for a tie for 13th place. Nick Atkinson 75-74-149, Ryan Salinas 74-77-151, Clint Wellhausen 80-76-156 and Aaron Shipley 82-76-158 rounded out the Cowboy lineup.

Emory University won the tournament with a 578. Mary Hardin Baylor (589), UT-Tyler (591), Texas Lutheran (591) and McMurry (600) rounded out the top five.

Paul Schaub shot a 75-83-158 competing as an individual for the Cowboys.

The tournament concluded the Cowboys' fall schedule.
