SALADO, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team is in seventh palce after one round of the UMHB Fall Invitational at Mill Creek Golf Club in Salado. Cowboy All-American Chris Phillips is tied for the tournament lead after the first round after firing an one-over 72.

The Cowboys will take to the course in round two just seven strokes out of second place. McMurry leads the event with a 294. HSU shot a 307.
