TYLER, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' J.C. Eagle shot the round of the day with a 71, but came up one stroke short of the individual title at the UT Tyler Fall Invitational at the Holly Tree Country Club in Tyler.

Eagle shot 72-71-143 to place one shot behind LeTourneau's Patrick Palmer, the No. 1 ranked Division III golfer in the nation.

The Cowboys shot a 313 as a team and finished in seventh place, 24 shots off the 594 pace UT Tyler used to win the tournament.

Michael Weehunt shot a pair of 77's for the Cowboys to shoot 154. Brad Leeper shot 79-84--163 and Sam Antony shot 77-87-164. Brian Laing improved 12 strokes in round two from 93-81 to card a 174.

HSU is now done with its fall season.
