ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Fairway Oaks West Texas Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon at the par-72, 7018-yard layout at Fairway Oaks Country Club in Abilene.

The Cowboys shot rounds of 304 and 307 to finish 11th with a two-day score of 611 in the 18-team field of mainly scholarship schools.

All-American Chris Phillips led the way with a pair of 74's good for 16th place. Ryan Salinas 75-76-151, Travis Brown 75-82-157, Davey Davis 80-78-158 and Michael Weehunt 88-79-167 rounded out the Cowboys lineup.

Cameron University won the event with a 584. Cameron's Owen Mahaffey shot 72-71-143 to take medalist honors.
