SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team place 10th out of 14 teams at the season-opening John Bohmann Invitational in Seguin on Monday and Tuesday. UT-Tyler won the event with a three-day score of 858. Texas Lutheran's Josh Werland fired a 67-69-74--210 to win the individual race. Chris Elliott paced the Cowboys with a 34th place finish. He shot 74-74-77--225. Davey Davis (73-74-82) and Chris Clifton (78-73-78) each shot 229 and J.C. Eagle (75-74-81), Travis Brown (71-79-80) and Michael Weehunt (75-80-75) all fired 230s. Weehunt was playing as a medalist. HSU had rounds of 293, 295 and 316 to finish with a 904, 46 shots off the leaders pace.
