BEAUMONT, Calif. - Hardin-Simmons senior golfer Chris Phillips ended his run in the NCAA Division III Championships with one of the better rounds of the day as he shot a one-over 73 to finish his four-day run with a final score of 312.

After rounds of 79, 79 and 81 Phillips fired his lowest round of the tournament. He started the day in 83rd place, but moved up to a tie for 63rd.

Chad Poling of Ohio Wesleyan won the individual title with a six-under par score. It was his sixth straight tournament win.

Gustavus Aldophus won the team title.
