Final Stats

ABILENE, Texas - McMurry fired rounds of 293 and 299 to take a 10-stroke lead at the American Southwest Conference Men's Golf Championships, Monday at the Diamondback Golf Course in Abilene.

Mary Hardin-Baylor 297-305--602, Texas Lutheran 304-300--604, Hardin-Simmons 313-309--622 and LeTourneau 320-304--624 rounded out the top five.

Todd Anderson off Mary Hardin-Baylor leads the medalist race by two strokes over Daniel Heuston of McMurry, after firing an even-par 144 with rounds of 70 and 74.

Hardin-Simmons is led by Chris Phillips, who shot a 76-72-148 and is tied for fifth. Clint Wellhausen shot 80-74--154, Aaron Shipley fired a 77-80-157, Ryan Salinas shot 82-83--65 and Paul Schaub carded an 80-85-165.

The final round will be played on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
