TEMPLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's golf team shot a second round 319 and finished tied for seventh place in the Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational at Wildflower Country Club in Temple on Monday and Tuesday.

Sophomore Ryan Salinas led the Cowboys with a two-day 153. He shot 74-79 to place tied for 12th. J.C. Eagle 75-80--155, Davey Davis 79-78--157, Travis Brown 80-83-163 and Chris Elliott 82-82--164 rounded out the HSU lineup. Davis' 78 was the low round for the Cowboys on Tuesday.

Northwood won the event with a 305-305-610 by four strokes over UT-Tyler, who was the top Division III finisher. Trinity (621), Texas Lutheran (621), UMHB (622) and Southwestern (624) were in front of the Cowboys in the standings. HSU was tied with College of the Southwest at 627.

HSU is off until March 21 when it plays at the Midland College Tournament.
