Nov. 13, 2003 ABILENE, Texas - Six members of the Hardin-Simmons' football team earned Academic All-District honors as voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America, including three on the first team it was announced Thursday by the organization. Jared May, Lance Moore and Rocky McAdams were named to the first-team and Matt Moskosky, Adam Parker and Anthony Renfro were named to the second team. May is a sophomore wide receiver from Hamlin with a 3.61 GPA as an education major. Moore, a junior from Roby, is one of the top players in the conference at running back and maintains a 3.43 GPA in Ag business. McAdams, a junior from Sudan who plays free safety, is a 4.0 student as a biology/pre-med major. Moskosky, a senior from Plano, is a 3.46 pre-med major and plays tight end. Parker, a junior linebacker from Lindale, maintains a 3.42 GPA in criminal justice and Renfro, a senior free safety from Sonora, maintains a 3.36 GPA as a communications major. The Cowboys had the most players on the two teams of any Division III school and was second behind only Eastern new Mexico's seven players. District VI is comprised of Division II, III and NAIA teams in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana. |
