ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons footballers Jared May and Jordy Bernhard have been named to the District VI College Sports Information Directors of America college division academic all-district team as voted on by the members of district VI.

May earned the award for the second straight year and was selected as a wide receiver. He has a 3.57 GPA as an education major. Bernhard was named the quarterback of the team with a 3.89 GPA in business management.

They will now go on the national ballot for Academic All-American. District VI for CoSIDA consists of schools in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Mississippi. The college division is all of the teams in NAIA, NCAA Division II and Division III.
