RICHARDSON, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' Lance Moore was named the American Southwest Conference offensive football player of the week as voted on by the league office.

Moore, a senior running back from Roby, recorded his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game with 129 yards on 21 carries in Hardin-Simmons' 79-17 non-conference win against Sul Ross State (Sept. 9).

Moore scored a pair of touchdowns on runs of 2 and 6 yards while playing in the first half and one series of the third quarter.

It is the second time in his career he has won the award.
