ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons has finalized its 2007 football schedule with the addition of UW-La Crosse as its second non-conference opponent to go along with its return game to Linfield College.

"We are happy to get a team with the reputation of UW-LaCrosse on our schedule," said head coach Jimmie Keeling. "They come from a great league and will be a challenge for us to start the season. We try to schedule in the preconference as aggressively as we can to get prepared for a tough conference schedule that we play."

HSU will host UW-La Crosse on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. at Shelton Stadium. HSU then will have an off week before it travels to McMinnville, Ore., to take on Linfield College on Sept. 15.

After hosting Louisiana College on Sept. 22, the Cowboys will then go to Mississippi College on Sept. 29.

The month of October brings three of the traditional ASC powers to HSU's schedule with a home game against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Oct. 6. at East texas Baptist on Oct. 13 and back home for Howard Payne on Oct. 20.

HSU then travels to Sul Ross State on Oct. 27, returns home for Texas Lutheran on Nov. 3 and plays at McMurry on Nov. 10 to close out the regular season.

The Cowboys were 8-2 last season and advanced to the NCAA Playoffs for the fifth time.
