ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons sophomore basketball player Mardochee Jean has been named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week.

D3hoops.com is the most comprehensive outlet covering Division III basketball in the nation. Jean is on the team after three dominating games last week.

In a 3-0 week for the Cowboys, Jean averaged 13.3 points, 14.7 rebounds and 4.7 blocks. He set an American Southwest Conference record with nine blocked shots against LeTourneau, and just missed a triple double adding 13 points and 17 rebounds. Jean tallied 21 points and 18 rebounds versus East Texas Baptist.

He is the first Cowboy to earn the national honor.
