ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons senior Mardochee Jean was named a third-team All-American by D3hoops.com to become the Cowboys' first All-American in the 10 years of D3hoops.com.

Jean, the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Year, was also named first-team all-district by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The all-district and All-American teams were announced in conjunction with the Division III Final Four this past weekend.

Jean was also named to the D3hoops.com All-South Region second team. It is the second time in his career he has been named to the second team, along with one season as a third-team selection.

Jean averaged 15.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game as the Cowboys went 15-12 on the year.
