ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons had two players named to the D3hoops.com All-South region second team in voting done by sports information directors across the region.

Senior Zach Pickelman and junior Mardochee Jean were both named to the second team. It is the second time Jean has been honored as an all-region selection in his career.

Pickelman, who was the ASC West Player of the Year, averaged 18.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He also led the ASC in 3-point shooting and would have ranked 18th in the nation had he made four more to qualify for the 2.5 makes per game. He leaves HSU as the second all-time leading scorer.

Jean, who was the ASC West Defensive Player of the Year, led the ASC in rebounding and was second in blocked shots. He averaged 13.3 points and 11.6 rebounds and had 80 blocked shots. He ranked fourth nationally in rebounding and was seventh in blocked shots.

HSU was 16-12 and advanced to the ASC Championship game.
