What's on the Line: Hardin-Simmons can put some separation between itself and one of its contenders for a spot in the ASC Tournament this week. A pair of wins would give the Cowboys at least a one-and-a-half game lead over Mary Hardin-Baylor, who currently sits in fourth place a half-game behind the Cowboys. The Cowboys are looking for their first win ever over Concordia in Austin.

What's Next: HSU returns home to start a stretch of five games over the course of two weeks. HSU hosts Texas Lutheran on Thursday and Schreiner on Saturday before a key tilt with McMurry on Jan. 31. HSU then turns around and plays TLU and Schreiner on the road the next weekend. That stretch will see the Cowboys play three games against the two teams directly ahead of them in the ASC standings.

Looking Back: The Cowboys won its fifth straight game with an 85-73 win over Sul Ross State, which followed an 80-77 win over arch-rival Howard Payne. The win over HPU snapped a six-game losing streak to the Yellow Jackets. Calvin Nite hit a big 3-pointer to tie the game in the final minute and also added a huge block on Kendrick Johnson. Zach Pickelman had a career-best 27 points in the win over HPU. The win over Sul Ross State was the second straight for the Cowboys over the two-time defending ASC West champion.
