Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team will be looking for its first home win of the season when it hosts Louisiana College and Mississippi College in American Southwest Conference Crossover games this weekend at the Mabee Complex. The Cowboys are 3-4 on the road but are 0-4 at home. HSU is coming off a 75-70 loss to Colorado College on Tuesday.

About Louisiana College The Wildcats come in sporting a 6-4 record and are on a two-game winning streak. They are led by ASC East preseason player of the year Ryan Vines, a three-time All-ASC selection, who averages 18.9 points and has hit 28 3-pointers. He is far and away the best shooter in the American Southwest Conference.

About Mississippi College The perennial favorite to win the ASC East, Mississippi College is 6-3 on the season, but comes into the game following a loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Choctaws have a balanced attack led by Robert Green's 11.9 points per game. The Choctaws have a new head coach in Don Lofton.

Cowboys Improve on Last Year's Mark HSU has already improved on last year's win total with its third win. The Cowboys picked that win up on the road at LeTourneau, when they played the best game of the Dylan Howard era. HSU went 2-22 last year.
