Cowboys Fall To Trinity

ABILENE, Texas - Trinity came out scorching the nets in the first half and Hardin-Simmons could not recover as they fell to Trinity 67-60, Saturday evening at the Mabee Complex in Abilene.

Trinity hit 17-of-26 shots (65.4) in the first half including seven 3-pointers. HSU clamped down on defense in the second half, but could not overcome the 22-point deficit. Trinity hit just 5-of-22 shots in the second half.

HSU also struggled to find points, shooting just 30 percent for the game. Senior Zach Pickelman started 0-for-12 from the field and finished with 16 points, thanks to a 12-of-16 effort at the line to lead the Cowboys. Mardochee Jean and Steven Luckey had 12 and 10 points respectively for HSU.

Brandon York (17) and Patrick Robinson (15) were the only two Tigers in double figures in scoring.

HSU will be off until Dec. 29 when it plays Ripon College at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Christams Invitational.
