Dec. 14, 2002 SAN MARCOS, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team dropped an 89-43 decision to Southwest Texas Saturday afternoon at Straham Coliseum in San Marcos. The loss was the Cowboys fourth straight overall and 16th straight against Division I opponents. The Cowboys held around early Trailing just 20-12 after a Grant Justus 3-pointer at the 13:02 mark, but from there it was all Bobcats as the pushed out to a 45-22 halftime lead. SWT (4-1) used its size, which included a frontline of 6-11 and 7-0 players to alter several shots inside for the Cowboys. Weston Ryon led the Cowboys for the second straight game. He had eight points off the bench. Four players had six points for the Cowboys. HSU (2-4) will return to action Monday at 3 p.m., when they will host UT-Dallas. |
