CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons men's basketball team lost its first game of the season with a 90-71 loss to the University of the Ozarks, Saturday afternoon in Clarksville.

The Cowboys trailed just 42-33 at the half, but Ozarks moved the lead out to 20 early in the second half and it remained around 20 for the rest of the half.

Bryan Conover led the Cowboys with 19 points. Senior forward Jordan Clower added 15 points . The Cowboys fell to 2-1 with the loss and the Eagles, who hit 12 3-pointers in the game, moved to 2-2 on the season .

HSU will return to action on Monday, when they play at Austin College at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
