GEORGETOWN, Texas - Calvin Nite's tip-in with one second remaining gave Hardin-Simmons a come-from-behind win over Southwestern, 71-70, in Georgetown on Tuesday night.

Nite scored the Cowboys last nine points of the game as HSU rallied from a 64-49 deficit in the final 6:28 of the game. Nite's bucket gave the Cowboys the lead for the first time since the 10:29 mark of the first half. Southwestern led by as many as 16 points in the second half.

Nite led the Cowboys with 15 points, Zach Pickelman added 13 points and Donald Rohde had 11. James Peters had nine points and Matt Brackett added nine points off the bench.

HSU improved to 2-1 on the year and Southwestern fell to 1-2. The win completes the Cowboys non-conference play and HSU opens league play Saturday at 7:30 when it hosts UT-Dallas. That game time is a change from the original 3 p.m. start.
