Final Stats

ALPINE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team dropped its game to a very determined Sul Ross State club, Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference action in Alpine, Texas.

The Lobos came out on fire and took a 53-22 lead at halftime, after forcing 17 Cowboy turnovers in the half. Sul Ross State, who is still in the running for the ASC West, ratcheted up the defensive pressure in the first half and took the Cowboys out early.

In the second half the Cowboys used a lot of their younger players and played with the Lobos in the second stanza.

The Cowboys fell to 5-19 overall and to 2-11 in conference action. Sul Ross State improved to 18-5 overall and 11-2 in ASC play.

HSU will close out its season at Howard Payne on Saturday.
