Pickelman Tops 1,500 as Cowboys Roll :: Brackett Has Career Best 10 Assists

KERRVILLE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team dominated the second half en route to an 86-64 win over Schreiner in American Southwest Conference action at the Edington Center in Kerrville.

Zach Pickelman led four Cowboys into double figures with 24 points. He also went over the 1,500-point mark for his career with the Cowboys. Mardochee Jean added 15 points and 12 rebounds, Matt Brackett added 13 points, 10 assists and seven steals and Charlie Pannell added 10 points.

HSU shot 60.7 percent in the second half and outscored the Mountaineers 50-37 in the second half after leading 36-27 at halftime.

The Cowboys improved to 12-10 with the win overall and 12-6 in league play. Schreiner fell to 6-16 overall and 6-12 in conference action. HSU will play at TLU on Saturday at 3 p.m.
