SEGUIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team dropped its fourth straight road game with a 73-61 loss to Texas Lutheran, in American Southwest Conference West Division action in Seguin.

The Cowboys started slow, scoring only 18 points in the first 26 minutes of the game and the Bulldogs jumped to a 36-point lead. TLU hit seven 3-pointers in the opening minutes of the second half to but the game on ice.

HSU made a furious rally but it was too little too late. Andre Washington led the Cowboys with 13points and seven rebounds. Grant Justus added 12 points and Tanner Kudrna had 11. Jerrod Carpenter led the Bulldogs with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The loss dropped the Cowboys to 5-13 overall and to 3-4 in league play. Texas Lutheran improved to 14-5, 6-2 and remain in second-place in the ASC West.

HSU plays McMurry on Tuesday at the Mabee Complex at 7:30.
