Jan. 4, 2003 LONGVIEW, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' men's basketball team broke a six-game losing streak with a 77-66 win over LeTourneau, Saturday afternoon in Longview, Texas. Seniors Bryan Conover (17), Jason Eaker (16) and Jordan Clower (15) led the way with double-digit scoring efforts. Conover had 16 rebounds in the contest The Cowboys pulled out to a 40-23 halftime lead thanks to 69.6 shooting from the field. The Cowboys were able to keep a double-digit lead until the final minute of the game when the Yellowjackets cut it to eight points on a couple of occasions. The win was the Cowboys third of the season, besting their total of two from a year ago. HSU is 3-6 on the season. LeTourneau fell to 3-5 on the season . HSU will return to action at 6 p.m., when it host Colorado College at the Mabee Complex. |
