ORANGE, Calif. -

Justin Wilson, a senior outfielder from Abilene, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-American second team it was announced on Monday. He was on the ballot after being named first-team All-West Region last week.

He led the Cowboys with a .408 batting average, 12 home runs and 51 RBIs. The home runs tied a single-season mark for the Cowboys. He also added 13 doubles, despite missing six games late in the year with an injury.

Wilson helped lead the Cowboys to the American Southwest Conference Tournament for the first time since 2001. HSU fell in the ASC final and finished with a 28-19 record.
