ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons will play host to a first-round series for the second straight season as they host Louisiana College in a best 2-out-of-3 set at Hunter Field. The first game will be at 4 p.m. Saturday. Game 2 is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday with the if game 30 minutes following Game 2. The Cowboys defeated UT-Dallas in the same situation last season, winning the final two games after falling in the opener. There are four series around the ASC this weekend and the winners will advance to a double elimination tournament next weekend, fighting for the right to go to the NCAA Tournament. That event will be in Seguin if Texas Lutheran wins its series. Mississippi College would be next in line to host and Hardin-Simmons would be the third team, if both No. 1 seeds were upset and the Cowboys win their series.
