RICHARDSON, Texas - Chuy Rodriguez was named American Southwest Conference West Division Hitter of the Week. Rodriguez, a senior shortstop for the Cowboys from Houston, batted .583 (7-for-12) and hit for the cycle to lead the Cowboys in a sweep over Schreiner last weekend.

Rodriguez opened the three-game series 4-for-5 with four runs, two RBIs, a triple and home run then smacked a double and triple in the middle game of the weekend. Rodriguez was solid in the field, making a behind-the-back flip that stared a crucial double-play on Saturday.
