April 26, 2003 AUSTIN, Texas - Hardin-Simmons got four home runs, inlcuding one from each from their fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth place hitters in a 9-8 win over Concordia-Austin that concluded their season, Saturday afternoon in Austin. Brady Coke hit the Cowboys first homer in the second inning and the Cowboys responded with five runs in the fourth inning to take a 6-4 lead. Andy Harrington had a two-run shot and Tim Donnelly added a three-run shot. All five runs came with two outs. Jeff Wisner gave the Cowboys some breathing room with a two-run shot in the fifth inning. Craig Foreman earned the win on the mound with 5.1 innings of relief. He came in the first inning and enduced a inning-ending double play on his first pitch. Eric Alvarez came in with the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth and recorded a strike out and then worked a 1-2-3 seventh to record his first save in his final career game. HSU ended the season with a 20-20 record and finished 13-14 in conference play. The Cowboys lost the first game of the doubleheader 5-2.
