In the nightcap the Cowboys came away with the win as a two-RBI single by Brady Coke was the game winner. Coke led off the inning with a single to center and stole second. Andy Harrington reached on an error before Tim Donnelly drove in Coke. Harrington then scored on a wild pitch to make the score 6-3. It scored Devere and the bases were still loaded for Coke whose second single up the middle in the inning gave the Cowboys the win.

Josh Bishop earned the win with two innings of one-hit relief. Starter Jonathan Emens pitched solid for the Cowboys, but Schreiner scored two unearned runs and Schreiner hit back-to-back homers in the sixth to chase Emens.
