Clarksville, Ark. - Hardin-Simmons' baseball team committed six errors, including three in the first inning as the Cowboys fell to the University of the Ozarks, 13-3, Friday afternoon in Clarksville, Ark. Barry Janisse got the Cowboys on the board in the first inning with a solo home run. Ozarks responded with five runs (three unearned) in the bottom of the first and never looked back. Janisse, Michael Popino and Justin Wilson each had two hits for the Cowboys. Taylor Gibbs hit his first career home run in the sixth inning. Nick Kincaid took the loss on the mound for the Cowboys allowing eight runs (three earned) in three innings of work. HSU is now 5-3 on the year and Ozarks improved to 9-3. The two teams will close the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. |
