ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' baseball fell to Louisiana College, 11-2, in crossover American Southwest Conference action at Hunter Field on Saturday. The Wildcats jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the top of the third. HSU committed seven errors in the game. Taylor Gibbs led the Cowboys at the plate with two hits and a pair of RBIs. Nathan Copeland took the loss on the mound for HSU. Shortstop Gene Taylor was 4-for-6 for LC. Grant Wilson cooled the Cowboys' hot bats with seven strong innings. HSU fell to 5-3 on the year and LC improved to 5-4. |
